Former FIFA and SAFA match official Victor Hlungwani feels Sekhukhune United should have been awarded a penalty during their 1-0 over Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium.

In the 56th minute, with Babina Noko already leading 1-0, Pirates young central defender tripped Vusimuzi Mncube in the box before Nkosinathi Sibisi took Bradley Grobbler just outside the box.
Match referee on the day, Cedrick Muvhali awarded the visitors the second foul and handed a yellow card to Sibisi much to the disapproval of Hlungwani.
During the Referee’s Corner segment on Soccerzone on Monday, Hlungwani stated that the match official should have awarded Sekhukhune the first foul, and subsequently, a penalty as Mbokazi committed a foul before the second sequence.
“There is one by Mbokazi inside the box, and you can see the kick there,” Victor Hlungwani stated on Soccerzone.
“That’s kicking the opponent, [and] there is one by Sibisi on Grobbler there outside the penalty box.
“This is an offence [by Mbokazi], the player has been kicked after releasing the ball. So, kicking an opponent inside the penalty area, and there is another one that was more reckless for Grobbler.
“Yellow Card was given to Sibisi for reckless tackle, but which one does the referee punish? Which one came first?
“Vusimuzi came first, so this one was supposed to be punished inside the penalty area. It was not punished, and the Sibisi one was punished.
“Incorrect by the referee to punish the one outside, he should have punished the one inside with a penalty.”
