Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso reacts to his side, dropping points against Chippa United in the league opener.

Despite dominating much of the game, the Brazilians started the defence of their title with a one-all in Gqeberha.
The second strike from Khaya Mfecane cancelled Sundowns’ first half strike from Arthur Sales to hand both clubs a single point in their first league match of the season.
The draw left Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso unhappy with his side’s performance, especially in the first half where the hosts broke his side’s defence frequently.
Speaking to SuperSport TV during a post-match interview, the Portuguese tactician revealed that the outcome of the match wasn’t ideal, mainly to how his side started the match.
He felt his side didn’t have the best attitude to control the match and play in spaces and ended up playing the physical game instead of their normal way of playing.
Despite being unhappy with the first-half performance, he felt his side start the second better but quickly returned to how they performed in the first half.
Their performance ultimately led to Chippa United pulling one back, and from then, he felt the game was difficult to play due to players falling to the ground regularly and disrupting the flow of the game.
But he lamented that the first half performance was what cost them the game.
Cardoso’s will not have to wait long to try and return to winning ways, as they are next in action this upcoming Tuesday, when they take on AmaZulu FC at home.
Usuthu will go into the 19h30 kick-off match on a high after defeating Betway Premiership new boys, Orbit College FC 1-0 in their league opener on Saturday afternoon.
