Mamelodi Sundowns legend and SABC Sport analyst Hlompho Kekana shares the importance of his former side keeping both Khuliso Mudau and Lucas Ribeiro Costa amid exit links.

Speaking on SABC Sport football show, Soccerzone, the 40-year-old stated that the club needs both Mudau and Ribeiro if they are to compete in and win the CAF Champions League, as they are important players to team.
“Make no mistake, we as Mamelodi Sundowns need those two players to put ourselves in a position to win the Champions League,” Hlompho Kekana stated on Soccerzone.
“You saw what happened last season. We got knocked out of the [CAF Champions League] Cup final.
“I am sure we wanna try again this year, and those players are very important to the team. Whoever wants to buy them has to break the bank.”
The former South African international also touched on the finance side of trying to lure the players away from the Chloorkop-based side.
“No, it’s not a money thing, like an offer has to make sense in football terms.”
“I mean, the amount of investment that it is there for the players it has to meet what is needed from players,” Kekana concluded.
