Mamelodi Sundowns star has handed in a transfer request, as he looks to start life away from the club ahead of the 2025-2026 season.

Towards the end of last season, there were indications that the Brazilians would have a squad overhaul that would see a large number of players leave the club.
So far, the club has seen up to 13 players leaving the club, as head coach Miguel Cardoso is determined to trim down his squad ahead of the new season.
Despite a large number already existing, the Chloorkop-based club’s doors, more players are expected to follow before the window closes later next month.
The next player to likely leave is Terrence Mashego after the Sundowns star left fullback handed in a transfer request after he was frozen out from first team training.
The signing of Stellenbosch FC left fullback Fawaaz Basadien seemingly sealed the player’s fate at the club, as he now finds himself last on the packing order.
He is likely to be followed out of the club by Neo Maema, Thembinkosi Lorch, Keagan Johannes, and Abubeker Nasir.
The quartert is also training away from the first team, as they are not in the coach’s plans for next season.
