Kaizer Chiefs starlet Aden McCarthy is linked with a possible move to Europe after a solid 2025-2026 pre-season.

The 21-year-old versatile defender was given his chance with the club’s first team towards the end of the season due to a long-term injury to Rushwin Dortley.
McCarthy has since been one of the defenders the club’s head coach, Nasreddine Nabi, has relied on since the injury of Dortley and the departure of Edmilson Dove.
His performances during the 2025-2026 pre-season have attracted interest from in services ahead of the new season.
According to Soccer Laduma, an unnamed Ducth first division side has inquired about the availability of the South African international with intentions to sign him.
However, the youngster is set to remain at Naturena despite interest in his services, as he is in the plans of the club’s head coach for the new season.
The youngster also had a trial stint in Europe last season, which he passed but was unable to move due to the club, and Nabi believed he had a role to play in the first team.
