Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso reacts to Lucas Ribeiro Costa, winning the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup goal of the tournament award.

The Brazilian’s solo goal against Borussia Dortmund during a Group F match at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati was voted as the best goal of the tournament.
Beating the likes of Inter Miami and Argentinean superstar Lionel Messi and Bayern Munich attacker Jamal Musiala to the award.
The 26-year-old received messages from all over the world after he was announced as the winner, with his coach at Sundowns, Miguel Cardoso, among the people who had their say.
The Portuguese tactician took to his Instagram account, @miguelcardoso.coach, to share how pleased and happy Ribeiro won the award.
“Nothing better for a coach rather than see(ing) the work of his people recognised,” Cardoso stated on his Instagram story.
“Great work team, great work, Lucas Ribeiro Costa.”
Meanwhile, his teammates like Themba Zwane, Siphelele Mkhulise, Marcelo Allende, Ronwen Williams, and Kutlwano Letlhaku also congratulated the 26-year-old attacker on winning the award.
