Kaizer Chiefs’ initial bid of around R3 million for African star is said to have been rejected by an African club.

After another poor season, which saw the club finish outside the top eight for a second season running, Amakhosi under the club’s head coach Nasreddine Nabi have already started with their transfers plans for next season.
Boosted by the club’s Nedbank Cup victory under the Tunisian tactician, the club is linked with top names in African football fraternity.
The likes Fiston Mayele of Pyramids FC, Feisal Salum of Azam FC, Fawaaz Basadien of Stellenbosch FC, and Denis Kibu of Simba SC are some of the names linked with the club.
However, according to Rwanda Broadcasting Agency journalist Eric Ndagijimana, the Naturena-based club has submitted a bid of around $170 000(+R3 000 000) for the Simba attacker Kibu.
The offer was seemingly rejected by the Tanzanian giants who are reported to be looking for a fee of over R10 million to partways with the player.
“Simba SC have rejected a $170,000 offer from Kaizer Chiefs for striker Kibu Denis,” Eric Ndagijimana stated on his X account.
The rejection of the offer and the demands of Simba for the 26-year-old’s services have since driven Chiefs away, as Ndagijimana stated that the club has since pulled out of the race to sign that striker.
“Chiefs have now pulled out of the race to sign the Tanzanian forward.”
