Masandawana are set to battle their arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs in one of the four Gauteng Development League Top 8 finals.

A week after playing to an entertaining 2-1 victory over Kaizer Chiefs under-15 side in the Gauteng Development League, Mamelodi Sundowns’ under-15 side is set to face the Naturena-based club in the final of the GDL Top 8 later today.

The two clubs convincingly won their semifinal matches after Chiefs brushed aside TUKS 2-0 while the Brazilians thrashed SAFA Transnet School of Excellence to set up the heavyweight battle.
The battle will take place at Marks Park Sports Complex in Randburg, Johannesburg, later today, with kick-off of the match set for midday.
Meanwhile, the under-14 final will kick off the day’s proceedings at 10h30 a.m., as Chiefs will take on SuperSport United, followed by the under-15 final, under-17 final between RESA and SuperSport United at 1h30 pm, and under-19 final between School of Excellence and SuperSport United.
