In the second week since the resumption of the league, Masandawana travelled to Naturena to take on Amakhosi in four divisions(under 14, 15, 17, and 19).

The first match of the day saw the hosts runaway with an impressive 3-1 victory in the under-14 division, which was followed by a 4-1 for the visitors in the under-15 division.

Chiefs returned to winning ways in the under-17 division, edging the Brazilians 2-1 to set up a grandstand for the final match of the day in the under-19 division.

The match did not disappoint, as a brace from Karabo Modikwe helped Chiefs to register a dominant masterclass performance that saw the hosts wrap up the day with a 5-0 victory.

The youngsters’ performance left the club’s first-team players like Gaston Sirino, Brandon Petersen, and Bruce Bvuma impressed.

The trio among their teammates were in stand to watch the youngsters play less than 24 hours after booking a Nedbank Cup semifinal spot with a 3-1 victory over Stellenbosch FC.

Meanwhile, both Chiefs and Sundowns will return to action this upcoming weekend.

Sundowns will look to make up for the three defeats they suffered at home, while Chiefs will look to continue their outstanding display away from home. Their respective opponents will be revealed during the week.
