Betway Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are said to be battling for Motsepe Foundation Championship leading goalscorer Muzomuhle Khanyi.

The 25-year-old attacker is the in-form attacker in the country, having netted a total of 16 goals in 18 matches he has played this season.
Despite the striker being the most potent attacker in the second division, his club finds itself on 8th position in the league table with 26 points after 19 games.

However, his goal-scoring prowess this has attracted interest from Pirates and Chiefs according to The South African.
“Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have joined Orlando Pirates in showing interest in Hungry Lions striker Muzomuhle Khanyi, the leading goalscorer in the Motsepe Foundation Championship,” the publication reports.
“His impressive performances have attracted attention from topflight clubs, with both Chiefs and Pirates now closely monitoring his situation.
“Pirates have been keeping tabs on Khanyi since the first half of the season, hoping to secure his signature before other clubs enter the race.”

Stellenbosch FC is also said to be looking to sign the player at the end of the season, but the Buccaneers at the moment are said to be leading the race for the attacker.
