After shockingly parting ways with Sundowns at the end of the 2023-2024 season, Mokwena saw a handful of the club’s technical team members follow him out of the club.

Assistant coach Michael Loftman, performance analyst Dayle Solomon, fitness trainer Sibusiso Mahlangu, and Dstv Diski Challenge head coach Sinethemba Badela all left the Brazilians after the 37-year-old parted ways with the club.

A week after leaving Sundowns, Mokwena signed a three-year deal with Wydad and was expected to add the technical members that left the club after his departure to his technical team in Casablanca.

However, Loftman will not be joining them in Morocco after he decided to take a break from football, as he hasn’t dealt with happened at Chloorkop Mokwena confirmed on a Game On show on Radio 2000 yesterday.

“Michael Loftman is one of the people I wanted, but he wants to take a sabbatical. He hasn’t properly dealt with what happened at our previous club (Sundowns),” Coach Rulani confirms in conversation with Radio 2000 on Game On show.

He further went on to confirm that Badela has joined him in Morocco, and they have already started working on planning for the upcoming season, and also he is looking to add more South African coaches to his technical team.

“We have already started working. I’m in the office as we speak. Coach Badela is also here with me, and we are looking at the squad.

“There are others I want to bring on. I want to empower SA coaches, but it’s a tough challenge and it’s difficult for them to just accept.”

    You only want those whom you can control. But a wise man surround himself with people who can add value not those whom he can control them. This thing of Boss does not make man but brake him down. Rhulani don’t let pride control you. Stop saying negative things while you back step Downs as a team. Players like Nasir, Sirino and other coaches, like Komphela and Manqoba. You brought your own people who you control but not paying them, now some are out of Downs and can’t follow you based on the structure of wydad. Your gone concentrate at wydad, soon we will meet worry not

      Coaches like Pep, Jose, Pitso and Ferguson are successful because of what Rulani is doing. You have to be arrogant, and also be bossy to run your dressing room
